About

Since 1967 the Empac Group has been providing custom manufacturing, assembly and packaging solutions to our partners in the St. Louis and Franklin County regions. We partner with our customers to provide inventory management, packaging consultation and logistical coordination.

We maximize efficiency, while providing flexible production operations, customized to the specifications of our customers. The results are consistent, quality processes that are utilized on every project.

We are accustomed to large, labor intensive production runs that have tight deadlines. Removing the stress of labor management from our clients allows them to focus on their core business. We operate as a reliable member of their team.

Growth

In January of 2013 the Sullivan and Washington locations decided to affiliate their operations to maximize their potential growth and services under the name Empac Group. Both were well-respected, leading providers in Missouri, and they shared the same vision–delivering exceptional results to their manufacturing partners, while providing meaningful employment to individuals impacted by disabilities.

The two locations previously operated under the names Sheltered Industries of the Meramec Valley (SIMV) and Sheltered Workshops, Inc. (SWI). Both have added capability, expanded warehouse storage and added fleets to accommodate the needs of their customers over the years. This step in their growth curve allows them to offer a broader range of services to their customers, as well as local employment opportunities.

Mission

Our mission has always been to provide a continuum of employment opportunities to our communities. We currently employ hundreds of those impacted by disability. Our empowered teams provide our customers attentive hands-on work, on time and on budget. Our workshop programs have been effective in providing employment and training, plus we recently added the capacity to be proactive in assisting individuals in finding jobs in the community. With expanded capacity, we aim to more effectively address the large waiting list of individuals seeking employment and training with our companies.

Approach

We partner with our customers to advise them on packaging solutions that make sense for them. We are able to draw upon our years of experience to initiate consistent, quality processes that can be utilized on each and every project.

The Sullivan location was the first packaging and assembly facility of its kind in the state of Missouri to have their quality processes certified by the International Standards Organization (ISO).  As a result we are known for our consistent high quality and punctual delivery.

We also have flexible production operations that can cater to the exact specifications of each customer.

We have operations in both Sullivan and Washington supported by our own delivery fleet to service the region efficiently and cost-effectively.
